I'm Kimberley Selwood-Whelan, a designer at heart, with a lifelong passion for creativity and a background as an award-winning jewellery designer.  As both the industry and I evolved, I was inspired to begin a new creative chapter—transforming my love of storytelling, design, and illustration into patterns that celebrate beauty, evoke emotion, and tell a story of their own. 

 

Nature has always been my greatest inspiration. I find endless beauty in its resilience, renewal, and quiet imperfections. Inspired by the hope and vibrancy of spring—a season of growth, colour, and new beginnings — I created Pretty Not Perfect.

 

Through pattern design, I celebrate the beauty found in imperfection, embracing nature's delicate strength and the promise in every petal.  My work is a reminder that perfection isn't the goal; sometimes, good is enough, and that is where true beauty lies.
